Zib Strong Scholarship Fund

Neverland Children's Theatre along with Rob Coyne's School of Music and Just Dance! Are collaborating to create a scholarship that will provide qualifying East Bay students free theatre, dance, or music lessons. Each educator has flexibility in determining how to allocate funds. Elizabeth "Zib" Burns was an art teacher at Tiverton Middle School for 33 years during that time she also created sets for Just Dance productions. Zib was not only Sherry's mom but a mentor, wife, grandmother, mother-in-law, teacher, friend, and the most selfless woman you could ever have the pleasure of knowing. She was initially diagnosed around a decade ago and added fundraiser to her list of endeavors raising 10's of thousands for cancer research to benefit Saint Anne's Hudner Oncology, Dana Farber and The Jimmy Fund, and Hasbro Tomorrow Fund. Unfortunately, she lost her battle with cancer on October 23rd, 2017 in her memory members of the Neverland Children's Theatre board seeded a scholarship fund in order to keep her memory living on in the arts.
